Cleo

Cleo spent 15 long and loving years on this earth, and I know I'm a better person having known her. Dogs are some of the best teachers I've met and Cleo taught me tons. She taught me that there is contentment to be found in quiet places, that rest is necessary and that there is always a reserve of energy that will appear when joy is encountered. Cleo's most joyful moments, even in her elder years, were found outside in the grassy lawn, inside with stuffed animals the size of her head and every time I came home to her. A pup who is both a loyal defender of the home and a welcoming presence when you walk in the door is truly a talent. But there was never any question about if I was an intruder. I always felt safe with Cleo. I am very grateful to feel as though I have known her fully. She will be missed dearly but never forgotten.
