Tempi

Tempi, the beloved family dog, left us after 14 good years.

She came into the world with the odds stacked against her. At just 4 weeks old she found her person, covered in fleas and barely holding on she defied the odds and became the once in a lifetime dog. The irreplaceable dog. The dog you never want to lose.

During her years she grew to be a devoted family dog. Embracing every milestone in life with grace and love. Her stubbornness proved to be a test of your patience but was also a loveable trait that made her unique.

From a couch potato to a farm dog, she loved her role no matter what it was. She enjoyed basking in the sun, snoozing the days away and playing with children. She welcomed every animal she met and often cared for them as if she were their mother. She loved belly rubs and anyone who wanted to say hello. Car rides were the light of her life aside from the little people she kept watch over.

When she became too old to play, she still made sure to keep watch. She would lay in the middle of the chaos and role over for a belly scratch reminding us to slow down and take a moment to feel the love that surrounds us.

Although she is not with us anymore her presence remains, as she will always be remembered for her couch snuggles, her soft kisses, her tail wags and half-hearted barks when you didn’t pay enough attention to her. Her footsteps on the hard wood floors will linger in our minds, and when we look for her, we will look up, because we know she will be looking down watching over us, waiting for the day we join her in the ivory palace.
